Self Promotion Doesn’t Always Have To Be Shameless!

S

Ever heard the old saying, “No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care”?  Rarely have more truer words been spoken! 🙂

So how do you go about showing people you care and still promote your business or product at the same time?

One of the best ways to show someone that you care about their well-being is to teach them about what you do.

Instead of billing yourself as a financial planner, explain your business as helping people to live their retirement dreams without having to pinch pennies.

This is much more appealing to potential customers, and is a good hook to use at networking meetings and at parties where you may encounter potential clients.

Providing free information is one of the best ways to share your knowledge without trying to make a hard sell.

Using the financial planner example from above, someone in this field could offer prospects a free report titled “7 Biggest Mistakes That Are Costing You Money: Are You Losing $5 Every Hour?”

If you offer a coaching service, you can create an online video that details the results your clients have had and give prospects some free tips on getting organized or making more money.

Someone who offers weight loss training services can create a DVD showing some basic exercise techniques and giving details about the weight loss success of former clients.

Not only do these information products allow you to showcase your expertise in your industry, they let you show prospects how much you care about their success.

This is your goal when using this technique.

You also set yourselves apart from your competitors by offering free information that positions you as an industry expert.

You can use this system every day to create more success and make generate more sales and referrals in your business.  Now see? That’s not so hard is it?

No shameless promotion and aggressive plugging required! 😉

Greetings QuickBooks Client,

I’m reaching out because our records indicate your QuickBooks hasn’t been upgraded yet, and I wanted to reach out directly rather than send an automated reminder.

Many users who postpone upgrading aren’t avoiding it on purpose — it’s usually one of three things:

1. Concern about data loss or impacting current reports

2. Not wanting to deal with downtime during work hours

3. Not being sure if the latest features will help

If those concerns are holding you back, I’d love to help make things easier.

Usually the easiest solution is a quick phone call — most issues can be clarified in under 10 minutes.
