This post is for you entrepreneurs that are still working a J.O.B. and haven’t fully made the leap into Crazytown.
That means you’re probably working your side gig around your job, and learning to juggle as a side benefit.
Now how often have you sat down, determined to have a productive day?
Then you look up and find that it’s almost five o’clock and you’ve accomplished about a quarter of what you wanted to accomplish? (Don’t fib!)
You might be a little worried, thinking your lack of productivity means you’re incompetent or not cut out for your role somehow.
Umm no. Not even close.
The truth of the matter is that you probably just don’t know any tricks that help you work smarter instead of harder.
The golden key to working smarter pretty much boils down to prioritization. (Doesn’t everything?)
Too many people fall into the trap of thinking that every. single. message. that drifts across their desk or pops into their inbox is important.
Not so.
In fact you probably get CC’d on a crap-ton of different things that you simply don’t need cluttering up your mental space. Plenty of smart, savvy folks choose not to answer their emails right away, or simply answer everything in a lump, all at once.
Experiment.
Figure out systems that work for you and keep you most efficient.
Then stick with those systems.
You’ll find yourself happier with your job performance, and thereby happier in general… which means more motivation to up your game with your entrepreneurial activities and reach your ultimate goal of working for yourself, free and clear.
